The I-49 South Broussard, Louisiana Connector: Introducing South Louisiana’s commercial corridor to the world.

The Broussard I-49 Connector is a very important part in the extension of I-49, now US Hwy 90, stretching from I-10 to the Westbank Expressway in New Orleans. Along this thoroughfare which is also known as “America’s Energy Corridor, rests the location of many oil, gas, maintenance, and production companies.

Construction continues for the future Broussard I-49 connector. The completion of this project will be regarded as a major enhancement to the Broussard community. The I-49 connector will provide connectivity, safety, and improved hurricane evacuation routes for travelers to the south.

The entire $58 Million project is set to encompass 1.64 miles that will improve Albertson’s Parkway/St. Nazaire, LA Hwy 182/Cade Hwy, and Ambassador Caffery intersections. This will improve accessibility between major retail, dining, St. Julien Park, and other businesses located along the area. Albertson’s Parkway and St. Nazaire overpass is scheduled to be the first area of completion of this project.
