The Carnegie Classification of Institutions awarded the University of Louisiana with the elite top 3% R1 designation as public research universities in the nation. It is the second largest university in Louisiana with an enrollment of more than 19,000 students— offering 106 undergraduate degree programs, 37 master’s degree programs, and 10 doctorate degree programs. South Louisiana Community College is one of the fastest growing colleges in Louisiana serving more than 15,000 students per year on eight campuses in Acadiana.
