On March 29th, small business owners are honored each year on National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day. Small businesses play a vital part in the United States economy and our economy here in Broussard. Among these programs is the Small Business Development Center, which partners with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette that offers “no-cost confidential business consulting and affordable workshops.” Broussard also works with the Opportunity Machine in Lafayette, which offers small business boot camps, entrepreneur round tables, workshops, and the Innovate South Conference each fall.
