On April 25th, the Broussard Economic Development Corporation partnered with the Broussard Chamber of Commerce and hosted the annual Commercial Realtor Luncheon. This year’s luncheon took place at The Ballroom of Broussard and featured guest speakers Broussard Mayor Ray Bourque and Lafayette Economic Development Authority President and CEO, Mandi Mitchell.
At the luncheon, realtors and developers from around the area were able to network with one another and hear from our guest speakers on all the ways Broussard is developing and thriving on the commercial real estate front. A key point both speakers made was the ambition shown by Broussard to have four certified sites that have already undergone an extensive review process. This certification process includes everything from soil analyses, environmental studies, and surveys to zoning restrictions and authenticity documentation.
Mayor Ray Bourque also touched on the new businesses that have recently opened, such as Classic Auto Spa and Yabbos and the coming soon McAllister’s Deli. These businesses are creating new jobs, attracting visitors from surrounding towns, and improving the quality of life in Broussard.
