The Broussard Economic Development Corporation is thrilled to announce that Central Pizza & Bar, a beloved downtown Lafayette eatery renowned for its wood-fired pizzas and vibrant atmosphere, is expanding to Broussard!
Set to open at 1581 S Bernard Road, the new location will occupy the former Market Eatz building, which closed in late 2024. This expansion brings Central Pizza’s acclaimed menu, crafted by local chef Collin Cormier, known for Viva La Waffle and Pop’s Poboys, to the heart of Broussard.
Patrons can look forward to favorites like the “Smoke Show” pizza, featuring Rabideaux’s sausage, smoked chicken thighs, pineapple, and pickled jalapeños, and the “Paulie,” topped with pepperoni, jalapeños, and a drizzle of honey. Each pizza is baked in a brick oven heated to over 700°F using pecan wood, delivering that signature crispy, smoky finish.
Since its inception in early 2018, Central Pizza & Bar has established itself with a casual yet refined setting, complete with a full bar, private dining space, and a robust cocktail selection. The team’s dedication to quality ingredients and inviting ambiance has made it a staple in Lafayette.
